Since I have waited until Braxton was 6months old to start blogging I have decided to give you a "background check" on my little one!
Mom and I headed to Lexington to the doctor on Thursday, for my weekly check-up, Braxton was due Saturday 7th. Braxton's movement had slowed down significantly since my last visit. So after being hooked up to the monitor and a ultrasound we learned that my amniotic fluid was low, and I was getting free trip to Central Baptist Hospital! Eric, Mom and I arrived about 7p.m. on Thursday night, to get settled in for induction on Friday. After a restless night of sleep, 6 a.m. finally arrived and it was time for the pioticin, the contractions really didn't get bad until after my water was broke at 9:30! Three hours later my epidural finally arrived, I was very excited, only to find out later it would wear off....TWICE! Some 9 hours, bruises, things I don't remember and a lack of an epidural later Braxton finally arrived at 6:24 p.m. on March 6th!! Weighing in at a whopping 8lbs 2oz and 20 1/2 inches long...with the worst case of the cone head ever seen!
Dispite his cone head, my delusion and that bright light...he was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. And he looked nothing like I had envisioned...The entire time I was pregnant I expected a blue eyed baby, with blond hair (if he had any)! When my little bundle of joy arrived he had dark hair and dark eyes! Needless to say we were all shocked!
